Diani Beach, is a paradise nestled on the South coast of Kenya. This coastal town offers an array of activities for every traveler, from days out in the water such as snorkeling and diving to leisurely beach walks and relaxing sunbathing sessions. Along the shore, you'll find some cool beachfront cafes and restaurants serving up an delicious local food and refreshing cocktails, allowing you to have such an easy going experience Beyond the beach, Diani has enough opportunities for cultural exploration, with nearby attractions such as the Colobus Conservation Center and the Shimba Hills National Reserve. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, Diani Beach definitely delivers an great experience that will leave you longing to return.
WHAT TO DO IN DIANI?
Settle into a cozy beachside cafe, where you can connect to high-speed internet and dive into your remote work tasks while enjoying the views. For a midday break, venture into the nearby Shimba Hills National Reserve for a thrilling safari experience, spotting majestic elephants, giraffes, and rare bird species amidst lush greenery. Alternatively, explore the underwater wonders of the Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park through snorkeling or diving excursions, marveling at vibrant coral reefs and colorful marine life.
In Diani Beach, we never feel as if there is nothing to do! There is a ton of activities to choose from as well as plenty different locations where to relax and take it all in. It is fun with the community and there is always someone up to fo go somewhere for the day.
Start your day by diving into the crystal-clear waters for a session of kite surfing, riding the waves . Get to work at one of the cafes and open your laptop with the ocean as a backdrop - there is an array of freshly squeezed juices, coffees and teas in most places with free relaiable wifi (don't forget you will always have your SIM Card loaded with data as part of the program).
Organic farms, community projects, the recycling centre where they convert our plastic waste into furniture and boats while protecting the environment. Join a sound healing session class, ask one of our instructors to meet for sunrise yoga or meditation, join the mangrove conservation program and help restore the forest, have a look into the donkey sanctuary. Pamper yourself to the natural spa or schedule the masseuse in your preferred location. Sit in a quiet cafe, try the local gastronomy and/or party till late in the dunes.
We will visit some of the most amazing places in Kwale County. From the pristine Kisite Island and the turquoise waters bordering Tanzania as well as the lush green Shimba Hills that are towering behind Diani. There are some spectacular places and we will discover some amazing projects with efforts in Conservation, Women Iniciatives and Empowerment as well as Community Development that we love supporting! OUR ACCOMMODATION IN DIANI
Live like a local and stay in one of our Authentic Swahili-style accommodations. We love each of the places that we go to, and have ensured that we have visited them and experienced them to ensure they are up to standard for our community. In Diani we will stay in this beautiful home that is just 5 minutes away from the white sand powdery beaches. With nice lounge and communal areas, a fully equipped shared kitchen and beautiful furry friends!

As with all our stays a delicious breakfast will be served as well as your housekeeping and laundry will be covered. The house is in close proximity to all restaurants, bars and other amenities and you can take a bike right outside the door. Enjoy the sunsets in Kongo River and some good live music at Tribe Earth!

How to get to Diani?
It is quite easy to get to all our destinations! Bare in mind that if you follow us from one destination to another you will have to cover your own transport, we might make even the most of it and do a little road trip on the way!
To get to Diani the closest airport is Ukunda either from Jomo Kenyatta airport or Wilson Airport you will see the daily schedule.
- If flying into Kenya and no need for a stop in Nairobi try catch an international flight that arrives quite early in the morning so you can connect with the Jambo Jet flight to Ukunda. Have a look at the timings before booking!
- If already in Nairobi you can use SafariLink or Skyward and use Wilson Airport
- If flying into Mombasa you can get a road transfer to Diani (1h30 minutes drive) - note that we include the transfer from Ukunda Airport but if you would like to drive from Mombasa a surchage will apply.
